One of the greatest Christian mystics and Spanish poets, doctor of the church, reformer of Spanish monasticism, and co-founder of the contemplative order of Discalced Carmelites.

As we prepare for the coming of Christ at Christmas we want to be ready to accept his love and be able to do whatever he asks of us. In order to do so, the Church encourages the parish community to come together in a formal liturgy called the Rite of Penance (Penance Service). Tuesday, December 17 at 6pm.

La Gran Posada is a traditional Basilica Mexican Christmas celebration presented by Faith Formation at Little Flower Basilica. The event is free and open to the public. Doors open 6:30pm

On Feb. 2, 1999, the church was dedicated as a Basilica in a special ceremony.

Jesus told Peter, “I have prayed that your own faith may not fail; and once you have turned back, you must strengthen your brothers” (Lk 22:32). Today, this feast reminds us of the significance of the ministry of St. Peter and the succession of popes who followed in his footsteps.
