Daily Prayer: O God, made man for love of us, we prostrate ourselves in Your Presence, and give You thanks for having raised up Your beloved servant, St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus, by whose example we may admirably learn to arrive at true sanctity through ordinary means. Together with all the Blessed in Heaven and all the just on earth, we rejoice over the innumerable graces you have bestowed on this model of innocence and evangelical humility.

Grant us, we beseech You, O Lord, the grace to walk steadily on the sure way of love and self-surrender, as traced out for us by the Little Flower and in particular, grant us the favors we now ask, if they be according to Your Holy Will, so that we may love You with our whole heart here, and rejoice with You forever hereafter. Amen.

A novena is a nine-day private or public devotion in the Catholic Church to obtain special graces. Traditionally, the nine-day period that the Apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary spent in prayer and preparation between the Ascension of Jesus and the sending of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost Sunday is considered to be the inspiration and model for all novenas.
