Her Time: Female Composers of the 21st Century and Beyond brings to life the blend of historical women who laid the groundwork for many talented female composers of our day. The relatively unknown composers from the past: Hildegard of Bingen, Marianna von Martines, Fanny Mendelssohn, and Clara Schumann create a mosaic that contrasts from the contemporary treasures found with Cecilia McDowall, Abbie Betinis, Reena Esmail, Moira Smiley, Hanna Havrylets, Shruthi Rajasekar, Kim D. Sherman, Hedda Wagner, and Carol Barnett. We are honored to have Alegría Women’s Chorus of San Antonio, directed by Jo Scurlock-Dillard join us on this amazing journey.
