Pilgrim Guides

  • The Pilgrim Guide is a volunteer who is present in the Basilica to provide a welcoming and prayerful environment for the thousands of pilgrims that visit the Basilica each year.

  • Welcome pilgrims as they enter the Basilica, directing them to sign the guest log, pointing out important aspects of the Basilica, answering basic questions about the Basilica, and other similar activities.

  • ‍ ‍●     While they help to keep a watchful eye on the Basilica to help provide a safe environment to pilgrims visiting the Basilica, they are not security guards.

    ●     While Pilgrim Guides will be provided with basic information about the Basilica to be able to answer general questions that pilgrims may have, they are not tour guides. Pilgrims that want more in-depth information or tours can sign up for our Heritage Tours or a private tour.

  • ●     Must be at least 18 years of age.

    ●     You do not have to be a parishioner of Little Flower Basilica - this is a national shrine that belongs to all!

How do I sign up? What are the necessary steps?

  • You must complete both the “Protecting God’s Children” and “Sexual Harassment Prevention Training" modules.

    1. Click here to be directed to the VIRTUS website. You can complete the training online.

    2. Once you’ve completed the training (or if you’ve already completed it), send a PDF copy of your certificates of completion to pilgrimage@littleflowerbasilica.org.

After completing Registration & Training you will receive an email with information on the next Pilgrim Guides orientation workshop.

Thank you!
