Join Abbey Murphy for part one of this ten-week series!

Join us as we unpack the book Essays on Woman, a collection of essays and conferences written and given by St. Edith Stein, also known as St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross. These conferences will be delivered via Google Meet (no special computer or phone application required) with in-person options available in some locations.

About our Presenter:
Abbey Murphy is a PhD student in the philosophy department at Boston College. She is interested in the phenomenological tradition, in particular about empathy, the heart, and personhood. Abbey studies the philosophy of Edith Stein (St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross), and has an interest in Carmelite saints and spirituality in general. She has given several presentations on Carmelite topics (especially on St. Edith Stein), most recently a 5-week series on St. Edith Stein’s Essays on Woman in Boston and at Carmelite Young Adult Day 2025 – Texas, where the theme of the day was St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein): Seeker of Truth and Witness of the Cross.
